No paddles, no rapids to fight, no experience needed. Just sit in a tube and let Europe's last wild river do all the work.
Book Your Tubing TripRiver tubing is exactly what it sounds like — you sit in a big inflatable tube and let the current carry you downstream. Our tubing trips run on the slower, scenic sections of the Vjosa near Permet, where the water is clear, the rapids are gentle, and the views are pure wilderness. It is the most relaxed way to experience Albania's wildest river, perfect for families with kids, groups of friends, or anyone who wants the river without the workout.
Where Vjosa rafting gets you through real Class II-III rapids, tubing keeps you on the calm pools and gentle riffles. You can swim off your tube whenever you want, stop at a pebble beach for lunch, or just close your eyes and drift. We have run families with 6-year-olds and groups of grandparents through this stretch — it is genuinely something everyone can do.
The Vjosa flows undammed for 270 km. The water is so clear you can see the riverbed several meters down — and when you slide off your tube, the swim is unlike anything else in Europe.
You drift past gorges, beaches, and forest with no need to paddle. The river does all the work; you just enjoy the view of Europe's first Wild River National Park from water level.
Children 6+, grandparents, mixed groups, bachelor or bachelorette parties — tubing works for everyone. It is the most inclusive activity we run.
Tubing season runs from May to early October. July and August are the most popular because the water is warmest and the days are long. If you are also interested in something faster-paced, combine tubing with one of our Vjosa rafting tours on a different day, or check out our packages for multi-day adventures. Tubing also pairs well with river tubing in the Osumi Canyon if you want to compare both of Albania's tubing rivers.
Message us on WhatsApp and we will set up your Vjosa tubing day in minutes.
